Teams is rolling out a handy improvement starting May 2026. We’ll be able to 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧, and it’s available by default.
We can also record a short audio clip and play it back to confirm everything’s working before joining. This can really catch audio device issues before people actually join the meeting and it saves everyone from the usual “I can’t hear you” loop.
It’s a small addition, but one that directly improves everyday collaboration.
