Vishing and scam calls through Teams have been climbing, and until now, users had zero way to report them.
For this, Microsoft is introducing a new “Report a Call” feature in Teams. This provides users a direct, built-in way to flag suspicious one-to-one calls right from their Teams call history.
It’s ON by default, so after rollout, users will see a “Report a Call” option next to one-to-one calls in their Teams call history.
➡️ Report suspicious or unwanted calls
➡️ Send limited call metadata securely to Microsoft and their organization
➡️ Optionally add a reason for the report
The shared data includes basics like call time, duration, caller ID (if available), and Teams user IDs, just enough to support investigation without overexposing information.
Reported calls will appear in:
👉🏻 Microsoft Defender portal (requires Defender for Office 365 Plan 1/2 or Defender XDR)
👉🏻 Teams Admin Center → Protection reports → User-reported security submissions
General availability is expected by mid-April 2026. Finally, just like message, we can report calls too, and stay away from scam calls!
