One of the more persistent limitations of Microsoft Teams private channels has finally been addressed.
- Private channels now support up to 5000 members (previously 250)
- Meetings can now be scheduled directly within private channels
Organizations no longer have to choose between keeping a channel private and accommodating a large group. And confidential discussions no longer need to be routed to separate meeting spaces just to preserve access controls.
This position private channels as a genuinely viable option for large departments, confidential project work, and enterprise-scale collaboration, without the workarounds admins have relied on until now.
