What if you could join a meeting without even opening Teams? Now you can!
Microsoft is updating the Teams taskbar jump list on Windows to streamline access to key actions — right from the desktop.
Previously, the jump list only showed status options and a Quit button.
Now, the Quit option is being removed and replaced with actually useful shortcuts:
• View upcoming and ongoing meetings
• Join meetings instantly without opening Teams
• Schedule a meeting
• Start a new chat
Rollout timeline: Mid-November 2025 → Late November 2025
