And it quietly fixes how conversations start in Teams.
Starting May 2026, the first channel in newly created teams will use Threaded conversations instead of Posts.
Until now, it started with Posts (flat view) while most new channels use threads. That mismatch often led to messy conversations early on.
This update removes that inconsistency.
So now, conversations start structured from day one.

• Owners can switch it anytime
