Calendar Sync Between Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace is Being Retired in October 2026.
This integration will no longer be supported. Onboarding for new customers was already paused before this announcement, so this change has been coming for a while.
This specifically affects the feature that allows organizations to synchronize calendars through the Admin app in Teams. Once retired:
- Previously configured calendars will stop syncing.
- The calendar sync setup will no longer be available in Teams.
- Any account matching information configured for the integration should be retained before the retirement.
Users can still schedule Teams meetings from Google Calendar using the Teams Meeting add-on. What’s going away is the underlying calendar sync capability between Teams and Google Workspace.
I’d recommend checking whether this integration is currently in use and identifying affected users before October 2026.
