If your organisation uses premium custom HTML templates for Microsoft Teams Events email notifications, youโll need to verify the sending domain in Microsoft 365 before November 17, 2025.
From that date, custom HTML templates for Teams Events will only work if the emails are sent from a customer-owned, authenticated domain, no longer from Microsoftโs default โonmicrosoft.comโ or other default addresses.
If the domain isnโt verified by then ๐
- You wonโt be able to edit or send your custom HTML templates for event-notification emails.
- Event emails must be sent from an authenticated, customer-owned domain โ not Microsoftโs default email address.
Microsoft introduced this change to enhance email security, deliverability, and trust, ensuring your event notifications stay out of spam folders.
What You Must Do:
- ๐๐ป Set up and verify your organizationโs domain in Microsoft 365 tenant settings.
- ๐๐ป Configure the domain so Microsoft products can send notifications from your orgโs email address.
- ๐๐ป Complete this one-time setup before November 17, 2025, to ensure there is no interruption in your ability to use custom HTML event-notification templates.
