Microsoft is continuously enhancing the SharePoint experience for users, and out of the many exciting improvements, two of the most significant updates are coming to the document library:
1️⃣ Refreshed Document Library Experience

“New” and “Upload” actions are now merged into a single Create or Upload hero button.

Improved breadcrumbs make folder navigation faster and more intuitive.

Custom views now appear as visual pills just below the breadcrumb.

Quick file-type filters can be applied directly from the top pill bar.

All view customization controls are neatly grouped under a single Options menu.

2️⃣ “New Forms” Feature for Document Libraries
Users can now upload files via Forms similar to Microsoft Lists without needing direct access to the document library.
Each submission automatically creates a dedicated Forms Responses folder, making it easier to manage uploads and maintain organization.
This feature is perfect for securely and consistently collecting documents from multiple users while keeping the process structured and permission-safe.
