👉🏻Microsoft has added a new Copilot Chat usage report in the Microsoft 365 admin center that shows how often people use Copilot Chat and which apps they use it in (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Prompt activity insights: total/average prompts, daily prompt submission trends.
- User engagement: active days per user, last activity date.
- App breakdown: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote usage visibility.
- Coverage: Includes users without Copilot licenses, giving a clearer view of real adoption.
These insights help admins see what’s working, where Copilot is most used, and how engaged users are, even without a Copilot license. If you use custom Power BI dashboards or exports, make sure to update them to capture these new metrics. This may reshape how you measure Copilot adoption and ROI.
