You know the drill. A user requests a new Teams app. You open the admin center, dig through the app’s documentation, cross-reference everything against your org’s security policies.
Thirty minutes later, you’ve approved one app. Then another request comes in. And another. When you’re managing hundreds of app requests, it doesn’t scale. Microsoft heard you!
Starting mid-February 2026, Teams is introducing organization evaluation scores for apps and agents.
Here’s how it works:
- You define your organization’s trust requirements once -GDPR compliance, SOC 2 certification, data residency standards, whatever your org needs.
- The system takes it from there – e𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚.
This rolls out automatically to all Teams admin centers under Teams apps > Evaluation score settings to get the full benefit.
