Microsoft Entra Access Packages Visibility Changes

Microsoft Entra Access Packages

A visibility change is coming to the My Access portal, and it might impact how your users discover access packages 👇

Any access package scoped to “Specific users and groups” will become visible to all members (excluding guests) in the My Access portal from mid-October 2025, even if they weren’t originally included in the target scope.

➡️ These users can see the access packages (under the “Available” tab, “View all,” or through search)
➡️ But they won’t be able to request access unless they’re truly eligible based on the policy

Action Required for admins:

If you’re using access packages with sensitive names, descriptions, or resource details that you don’t want everyone to see:

✅ Review all access packages with the “Specific users and groups” scope
✅ Use the “Hidden” setting to keep them out of sight
✅ Do this before October 10, 2025

And there’s more, a new tenant-wide setting is being introduced to control visibility of resource roles (like group/app names) inside access packages!

We’ll (admins) be able to choose:

✅ None – Hide resource info for all
✅ All members (excluding guests)
✅ All users (including guests) – this will be the default

If an access package isn’t visible to a user, its resources won’t show either, so review visibility now if sensitive info is involved.
