Still, this oneโ€™s a big win!

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Azure App Service now supports Bring Your Own License (BYOL) for JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP).

  • You no longer have to rely only on Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) licensing. If you already have Red Hat subscriptions, bring them along and avoid paying the built-in license fee.
  • Save $$$ on large-scale Java deployments.
  • Keep your cloud deployments consistent with your on-prem licensing strategy, instead of switching between two different models.
  • Choose the option that best suits your needs: BYOL or PAYG, depending on your workload and scale.
  • JBoss EAP runs mission-critical apps for so many enterprises. Until now, migrating those workloads to Azure App Service often meant higher costs. BYOL changes the game by giving you cost efficiency and licensing flexibility.

Built in partnership with Red Hat, this feature is now available across Azure VMs, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, and most recently, Azure App Service.

Bottom line โ†’ If youโ€™ve been holding off migrating Java workloads to Azure because of licensing costs, nowโ€™s the time to re-evaluate.
